WHO ARE WE?

We are a group of students from the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague who organise free chess events that are open to players of all levels. The club was founded in the current December 2020 and currently has over 60 active players. Each semester includes online events (arenas) that include a chess league, a physical tournament for those interested, and then one final tournament to celebrate the end of each semester.

 

The club was formed because we were aware of the lack of chess activities and overall chess presence at our and other universities. Therefore, we try to get involved in all events and hold our events for students of all universities.

Our goal is to establish chess clubs at all universities in Prague and to organize the Prague Chess League and hold the Prague University Chess Tournament.
